question
I'm flopped in front of the computer feeling like old clothes in the bottom of a forgotten hamper - all balled up and worn out. How is it that I feel so alone right now? My house feels too empty. Listening to a little Coldplay and in the middle of cooking some veggie chowder. And thoughts to God. I'm patchy and blotchy, red rimmed sneezy eyes and pasty, fudgy. Blaaahh. What do you do when you feel lonely? Not just what should you do but what do you actually do?
I could really go for a sauna right now. It would make me feel dead beat tired and clean right through - much like a wet noodle. I believe in feeling like pasta.

Yuck--A little chillier there than here today outside, but it sounds like we've been in the same boat inside. (See today's post on my blog.) Except I'm not sick. That, I'm sure, makes it exponentially worse.
It's hard when you've been surrounded by family and friends for a time, then are back to your same old hum-drum life, isn't it? My loneliness was accentuated by the UN-loneliness I felt when we went home at Easter.
So, I drink hot chai, listen to my favourite CD (between the replayings of "Bob and Larry's Campfire Songs"), and call up a good friend on the phone. Or read her blog! ;-)
Sometimes, you just get melancholy days, and they disappear like rain down the gutter after a little more sleep.
Chin up, girl! It will be better tomorrow! (For me too, I hope!)

Thanks, T. I love your practical head and warm heart. It's just what I needed. What with my sweet (though at times exceptionally annoying) philosophical temperment I tend to attribute my blue days to some deep dark unknown lurking in my past threatening to swallow up all possible future happiness from said day forward until death. It's good to get things in perspective. I love you.
Hi. I come bearing get well soon wishes as directed by Talena on her blog. Hope you feel better soon...
Colleen, hopefully you're feeling better. Thanks for coming by yesterday and cheering me up when you weren't feeling too great yourself! I was having such a bad day as you know and you coming by with BUBBLES and taking me out for a walk made me feel better too. Thank-you!!! :-)
Hey betcha that steam room at the pool is open. You should head on over. I am sure they allow wet noodles in there too. They are not the discriminating kind.
Rohini! Thanks for your well wishes and for dropping by under orders from Talena. :) It was a cool thing to do. And I'm feeling much better so ... it worked!
Koala, I had fun spending time with you and Rebs. It was good for me to get out of the house because the four walls were starting to close in on me!
Herdy, I didn't know there was a steam room at the pool. If it's true as you say that wet noodles are allowed I should check it out.
any questions?
