Is there anything better than the sound of rain? The washing, pulsating clean of drops on drops, sludging away yesterdays dust into puddles and mud.

Beautiful photo. Love it. You should enter it into some kind of contest.

Alas, it is not my photo but a Flickr photo - one that says Blog This so I was able to use it. There is a wealth of great photos on that site.

Love,

That is a good photo yeppity yes. Reminds me of a painting with water spilt on it that makes the colours run.

Hi Colleen, thanks for stopping by over at my place. You disappeared before I could offer you coffee (Choc-mint Cappucino?). Or do you prefer tea? Earl grey with a dash of lemon?

Melbourne sends her love,

Hi Aakanksha! How do you pronounce your name anyway? Chances are I will never have to pronounce it aloud but somehow it will just help me imagine you a little better. I'm so glad you came back. Hmmm, I could definitely go for that cappucino. The ritual of coffee is a beautiful thing. Thank you! I accept your offer!

By the way, how did you feel your exams went?

Hey Colleen! Aah the pronunciation. Let's see
"Aa" sounds like the 'a' in 'art'.
The 'a' in "kank" sounds like the 'a' in 'art'
'sha' sounds like the 'sha' in 'sharp'
Does that help? I'll have to record it and share it.

The talking over coffee thing? It is the best thing ever! It is just a shame I don't know enough people to do that with. But am glad for those I can just go ,sit in a nice cheery laid back coffee house and as Kelly says, have a knee to knee conversation and I am also glad for those I can think I can do that with. ;)

The exams? Results will tell... They were fairly good, except for one.

Somehow I can't seem to get the song "Raindrops keep falling on my head..." out of my head.

Hello, Dickie. That's funny because now the song's rolling around in my head. Come to think of it, I'm not sure whether to laugh or cry. WHY YOU! When we were kids I had a toy "organ" that went inside my dollhouse and when I slid this little piece of wood at the side it would play that song. I just loved it and would listen to it many times. Ah yes, Memory Lane. There is a cure for you if you want to get that song out of your head - but you'll have to sing skinna merkinky dinky dink, skinna merinky doo. :)

Later, D.C.

Arg, that wretched purple dinosaur. The rain picture makes me want to curl up in a blanket with coffee and a Sudoku puzzle. I will have to turn on some music to drown out the purple dinosaur. I think he is mocking me in a 'nah nah nah boo boo you can't catch me' style of mocking....ohh, never mind, nah nah nah boo boo got him. Great, now nah nah nah boo boo is stuck in my head.:( Time for some Brahms. Later my Beak.

I know of Skinnamerinky from Sharon, Lois, and Bram, I think, but it doesn't surprise me that Barney would heist that one for himself.

Cute shoes, Colleen.

Hi Colleen, Not driving yet. Going into grade 5. How do you like living in Yellowknife? Must be cold there. It is really hot here now. Going to the Stampede today. Bye for now.
