The Pancake Chronicles
My name is Colleen.
I love taking my time and finding beauty and humour in things before they happen - as in seeds and salamanders.
"The sweetest thing in all my life has been the longing — to reach the Mountain, to find the place where all the beauty came from — my country, the place where I ought to have been born. Do you think it all meant nothing, all the longing? The longing for home? For indeed it now feels not like going, but like going back."
C.S. Lewis - Till We Have Faces: A Myth Retold
"Look, it's not in my nature to be mysterious. But I can't talk about it and I can't talk about why."
Rusty Ryan - Ocean's Twelve

Strap on the feedbag!
I would have figured Mark to be an early morning man.
"'Tis no man! 'Tis a remorseless eating machine!"
Dear Wilds, he loves to sleep in and he really likes pancakes.
go to sleep early! 230 am last night was tooooooooooooo late for me!
you must be exhausted, night girl!
If I could make pancakes that look as good as those, I'd be eating them daily!
I think that is golden syrup and not maple syrup on this stack of pancakes. I prefer maple syrup :)
And, my sister has a coupon for Pancake parlour and she has been chasing me to go with her and use it!
I think I could eat pancakes whenever, too, Rachel. Yeah, those pancakes are beauts. :) I don't know that I've ever made pancakes that look like that either! In fact, pancakes and I have a rocky history. Maybe I'll post about it sometime.
Good eye, little a! (Not to be confused with "good day", Aussie. ;) And I'm so encouraged to hear that you are a maple syrup girl. You make this Canadian proud. My parents always had golden syrup, I think cuz it was cheaper. When I "growed up" and moved away I discovered the glories of maple syrup and have never gone back. The Pancake Parlour sounds like my kind of place.
any questions?
