The Pancake Chronicles

Almost one year ago I received a gift certificate for a facial and a massage. And I, in my wisdom, kept putting off using it all in the spirit of Waiting For The Perfect Moment. Well now I was at the point where I had to use it or else it would expire. So a couple of weeks ago I finally booked an evening. Last night. As if on cue my back broke out into fisty little knots as thought it had been saving them for a good kneading.

First the massage.
Then the facial.
Exit stage left into heaven.

Hi Colleen! Just wanted to say hi...this is Sinead Hamm (used to be Gaughan at MEI!)Came across your blog through Shari and Rachel's blogs and thought I'd take a peek...I just love it! You're an amazing writer and I love the song playing in the background as I read about your life! It's putting me in a very nostalgic mood! All the best from Ireland xo

Well hello, Sinead! How are you? It's so awesome to hear from you! I'm stoked! Hmmm. It's been awhile since we've talked and since I've said "stoked". :D I'm really glad you came by. Do you have a blog as well?
Thanks for your words. I almost didn't start blogging because I had a feeling I'd love it too much and want to be here all the time ... which was a very accurate assesment because I'm always having to guard how much time I spend here. Eep. Anyway! Bla bla blab. Please come again, Irish Girl. :)

Oh yes. I pretty much enjoyed e-ver-y second of zee massage/facial. And I have to say ... Bets? A wine body wrap? That sounds super indulgently awesome ... possum. Go for it!

No blog Colleen! I'm in my last year of college doing a nursing degree specialising in people with intellectual disabilities so time just doesn't permit...and I admit to being a bit nervous about information about my life out there on the world wide web!!! However, I love to read about everyone else's! I will certainly come by more often!

Thanks, J! I don't know if I deserved it or not but it sure was a wonderful treat that I gladly enjoyed every square inch of!

Sinead, life sounds full! I'm guessing it will feel so very good to have school finished and behind you. I've debated on how to share on the net. For the most part I try to stay with my own thoughts and feelings as opposed to facts and timetables. Writing about my history has been a challenge ... I want to tell friends but I'm aware that there will be others reading that don't need this info. Plus, I want to be sensitive to the pride (the good kind) in others. It's a tricky balance and I (think I) understand why you might not want to blog. Everyone has their own reasons for doing and not doing it. Anyhoo! I'm glad you're here and I hope for you peace, rest and good management of your time as you complete your degree. Talk to you soon!
