eggs benediction
Is there anything better than the perfectly poached egg? The way the sunshine melts into the hollandaise. Sauce. Say it aloud and think of it. It's the favourite things you love and discovering they taste even better swirled all together in a yellow puddle under an English muffin.

Oh that is my favorite 'decadent' breakfast!
I really must try it again. I was about 14/15 when I first tried Hollendais and I was quite horrified by it and haven't given it a second chance. I suppose I really should. Your description of it makes me want to. :)
Yum yum! I never used to like eggs at all so Hollondaise was way up there in the Gross Department (it's made with yolks, I believe). It's strange how tastes can change. Just have a bite of someone's who will let you. Then you won't have to commit. :)
MMMMM...Yum.... Eggs Bennedict is Yum in my tum!
I do remember the time you did not like eggs. Sounds like you're glad that changed. Funny how that goes!
Would you believe that I've never tried Eggs Benedict?? I don't know why, either. I love eggs. I love sauces. I think I'll give it a whirl the next time I get the chance!
It's one of my favourite's too!
Sonya, I can picture you musing aloud to yourself, trying to process the reasoning behind never having had Eggs Benny as though it were a character flaw. "I love eggs. I love sauces. What is wrong with me? What's holding me back? How have I, an Egg Sauce lover as I am, come to this?"
:D
LOL! Yup. You nailed it exactly.
Mmmm...just reading this made me hungry. Back in the days I didn't like eggs, and especially anything with a runny yolk, I still like Eggs Benny for some reason.
Me neither, T! Eggs used to activate a certain, shall we say, "gag reflex", yes. Somewhere along the line things changed, rather recently actually and now I love them!
Oh My!
any questions?
