magnifique
On Monday night Wendy and I went to the Orchestre symphonique de Montréal. Nope! We did not fly to Montréal. Montréal flew to us! We dressed in our finest, walked on the red carpet and listened to the symphony encircled by a thousand others enjoying an almost out-of-body experience in Yellowknife. Outside the snow fell in big cornflakes and miserable souls slipped on the ice and grumbled into the wind but we ... ahhhh, we were transported.

How lovely! I do enjoy a good symphony! What a nice night out!
What? Mark didn't want to go to the symphony with you? Phooey to him, then!
You two look stunning. Love your chandelier-y earrings. Can't have too many chandeliers, seems to be my earring motto. Ironic, since I wear those variety the least, thanks to their weight and the grabby fingers of my children!
Yeah! And what did they perform?
I enjoyed a wonderful production of Bizet's 'Carmen' this evening. Wished you were there.
If you are coming the first weekend in May I can get you tickets to Beethoven's 9.
Awesome, we love the Theatre!

Brilliant!
You look...forgive me but this is the worst word that popped into my mind "Ravishing!"
But, in a more elegant manner allow me to rephrase - You look absolutely stunning! And so does Wendy!
And just so you know, I giggled at 'cornflakes' :)
What a wonderful way to spend the evening. I've only been to a symphony once when I was a teen, but it was a magical night that I never forgot.
Ohhhh...love the symphony. I get shivers listening to classical music.
Jillian - 'twas soooo nice.
Talena - it was Wendy's birthday and her parents gave her two tickets and said she could bring whomever she liked. She liked me. :) That's why Mark was watching hockey ... or something. :)
Ruthie - Can you believe I left my program? They played the William Tell Overture, Beethoven's 7th, an aria or two that a wonderful soloist sang (alto? contralto?), and a new piece, never before performed, that kinda ... sucked sorta. Carmen would've been amazing! And ooooh how I wish I could see Ludie's 9th with you. I feel sadness that I cannot. :(
Lang One - It is awesome, isn't it? I rarely get a chance to go so this was a real treat.
Acie - thank you for your words because you made me feel wonderful ... and ravishing ;) and I didn't before. So thank you.
P.S. Cornflakes. :)
Sonya - I've only been once or twice before, too and it was YEARS ago. Isn't it awesome?
Rachel - Shiver me timbers? Sometimes it makes me want to cry ... in a good way.
Sounds like such a lovely evening! I do love the symphony!
Glad you had such a nice time!
Hi Pretty! I love the earrings too! You look fab!!!!!!!!!
