Narnia

Spring doesn't saunter its way in up here. It hits the crash bars. Two days ago there was not a leaf to be seen. Today the trees look like this:
I miss the springs I have known. How they unfold in slow stretches and unhurriedly dress in colour. Like me after a good night's rest. But there's something very invigorating about a spring that leaps out of bed and has a cold shower before its even rubbed the winter sleep from its eyes.
GOOD MORNING!

That is a sudden spring. What makes me sad is the sudden fall, that refuses to linger.

The description of this made me giggle. Good night.

Hehe, made me giggle too! Good to know you're seeing clear skies. The weather God in London has gone nutty. Wednesday was too hot for me and thanks to the stormy weekend, I nearly froze today when I finally decided to venture outside after 3 days.

Still, with me, freezing storm wins over humid summer heat anytime.

I love the description! I can nearly smell the spring air that leapt out of bed with spring in your pictures!

That's exactly what has happened here. I was thinking about that today. It was a long day and I kept asking if Friday was here yet. Is friday here yet???

Thanks for the uplift!

Gorgeous pictures. I'm just crazy about trees and those ones just make my heart soar. I wish I could be there to see them in person!

i feel like the exact same thing happened here
the little tree in front of our house
just suddenly exploded with leaves!

i do love the spring
whether it sneaks in
or runs out from the side of the house
& yells 'boo!'

:)

I'm new here but just from this post I say you MUST be in Canada! Over in Southern Alberta here Spring is just now starting as well. I take that back. There really is no Spring. Just Winter and Summer. I miss the Springs I used to know as well. But it sure is gorgeous up here during the Summer!

(followed you here from Ree's place.)

This evening as I walked home, the sky was as blue as in these photos. Only, we have the silvery white clouds too! ;)

The rain had washed the dust of the trees, making the green look deeper, the yellow brighter.

Sigh. I could have sat out on the street if I had a rocking chair.

T - Fall IS fast. It makes heads spin and hearts sad. Alas. LY2.

Ace - Feeling "just right" is a rare thing, ain't it? For instance, I'm warm right now but my right thumb and toes are freezing.

CM - Friday isn't here yet. I'm glad your heart lifted, if only for a moment, from your measly Monday. :)

Sonshine - so you're a tree girl, be ye? I have an Emily Carr print that you would probably love. Whenever I look at it I feel hope and my heart is so happy.

Em - eep! Your sneaky spring scared me. :) I just had a funny picture of your tree literally exploding in leaves. Spring, spring, spring. 'Tis my favouritest season.

Nan - Hello new here! You are welcome any old time. Yup, you are right. I'm in Canada. I used to live where you did, but love led me elsewhere. And THAT sounded INCREDIBLY corny. But, ahhhh sweet corn. :) Come again soon!

Ace - déjà vu! I LOVE rain colours. It makes everything better. I would've pulled up a rocking chair beside you.

Good morning to you too!!
It would be like putting a really nice patio set on a 6 month layaway - and when the payments are all done, the delivery guy brings it to the house AND sets it up. Then before you know it you're sitting on the deck at 11 o'clock at night sipping lemonade in full sunlight! lucky...

Kori - spring is kinda synonymous with summer. Almost. It all sorta comes at once. The hottest it will ever get here would be around 29-30°C. Maybe. Today it will be around 20-23°. But we could wake up tomorrow to rain and 7°C. It's weird and wonderful ... and weird. Did I mention weird? But good? Weird good? Weird. Good. Help me, I can't stop .... Enjoy sumsumsummer for me. :)

Dan - isn't that called "being rich"? haha. Reading your comment makes me feel like closing shoppe, finding a sunshiney spot by the water and smiling at nothing in particular for the rest of the day.
