The Pancake Chronicles
My name is Colleen.
I love taking my time and finding beauty and humour in things before they happen - as in seeds and salamanders.
"The sweetest thing in all my life has been the longing — to reach the Mountain, to find the place where all the beauty came from — my country, the place where I ought to have been born. Do you think it all meant nothing, all the longing? The longing for home? For indeed it now feels not like going, but like going back."
C.S. Lewis - Till We Have Faces: A Myth Retold
"Look, it's not in my nature to be mysterious. But I can't talk about it and I can't talk about why."

That bubble picture is pure happiness and innocence. It just makes me feel so good inside.
Awesome picture Colleen! Thanks for sharing the happiness:)
beautiful!
What a great idea and great pictures! Love it!
Hey Colleen! Good on ya...I know how hard bubbles are to "catch" on camera. I recently tried to snap a few of the kids playing with bubble while I blew them and gave up out of sheer frustration! Blowing and snapping pics definately requires 2 adults!
Ooooh I want to join you sometime when you decide to go on the roof and blow bubbles again, sounds like fun! And great bubble pics!
It would've been great to have you ALL on the roof with me. A horde of bubble-blowing bombeshells. :)
And Dawn - you're RIGHT. Very hard, indeed. I gave up after I tried numerous times to get a shot that combined the rooftops with bubbles. Couldn't do it. Had to call it quits. Glad somebody understands. And oh! Welcome and come again! :)
Gorgeous shot, Colleen! Also gives me a good idea for what to do with the kids today! (Except we won't be on the roof!)
Hi Talena! Looks like we were leaving comments at the SAME TIME. Wow. Great minds think alike (fools seldom differ though [apparently]). Oh your kids will love it. They will be a big soapy mess afterwards and perfect for popping straight into the tub. :) Glad you clarified about the roof ... wasn't sure if you were thinking about hucking them up there whilst you blew bubbles on the lawn. :D
I wish John Mayer was singing through MY windows!! :)
hee hee. I'll see if I can arrange something .... :)
love every bit of this
the roof
the suds
the bubbles
& of course, the singer...
:)
Little ER - you should try it sometime ... you would love it. :)
Weeeeeeeeee. Love the bubbles. I used to keep them in my car for traffic jams. Then they leaked all over the interior.
any questions?
