The Pancake Chronicles
My name is Colleen.
I love taking my time and finding beauty and humour in things before they happen - as in seeds and salamanders.
"The sweetest thing in all my life has been the longing — to reach the Mountain, to find the place where all the beauty came from — my country, the place where I ought to have been born. Do you think it all meant nothing, all the longing? The longing for home? For indeed it now feels not like going, but like going back."
C.S. Lewis - Till We Have Faces: A Myth Retold
"Look, it's not in my nature to be mysterious. But I can't talk about it and I can't talk about why."

I love this! So true.
Just loved that, thanks Colleen. And the picture too, put a lump in my throat. Very poignant.
Very touching. We humans forget too much too quickly, eh?
I did try to comment to your previous post many days ago but it didn't show up.
"Coool" My mum can tell you blowing bubble ranks surprisingly and extremely high on my list of favourites.
Hello you three - This touched me, too. Apparently it became popular when Audrey Hepburn quoted it. The older she was the more beautiful she became. You just can't fake that. And to me she shone even though, in many ways, she had a very ordinary look to her.
(p.s. Ace - bubbles do rock, don't they? :) I'm glad to know there are others of us are out there.)
Love this! something we should all take to heart I think.
That's really lovely, Colleen.
any questions?
