jump

While at the east point
in the wind and sun
I leapt as before
and as never before
and Wendy joined me.

You two leapin' jaybirds. *chuckle*

How do you manage to get so many perfectly-timed photos? You must take about a hundred to get these few!

I'm actually gobsmacked (yes, I believe that's a word) at how high you can both jump... is this normal? I'm just looking at them again, and thinking that's pretty high. And then I notice how close you both are to what looks like the edge of the cliff. And I have just looked at that one of Wendy again, where it looks as if two seconds after the shot was taken, she fell flat on her face. I hope she didn't. She has that 'oh dear was that overdoing it?' kind of look on her face.

Awesome pictures. God I would love to hang out with you both, you seem to like doing exactly the sorts of things I love to do. Sometimes I run down long hills flapping my arms pretending I'm about to take off (but I never do).

Okay, everyone - PLEASE don't be impressed with me regarding these photos. It has everything to do with how the camera is positioned. The subject needs to have a background of sky or water. The photographer needs to be low to the ground with the camera tilted up slightly. We jumped just "normally". Listen folks, I do not have an incredible vertical. In fact, I feel a lot like lead when I leap. It is entirely how you set up the camera. Every single picture turned out fun. Because I don't have an SLR I just have to learn when to snap it as there is a slight delay when I *click*. I usually just yell "1! 2! 3!" On the silent "4" the subject will jump but I will *click* a split second before they jump and it usually works perfectly every time. Try it! It's so addictive that once you get started you will never stop. Not ever. You are still jumping right now.

Also, Cat ... if we could hang out that would be great. I think I would like to roll down a big grassy hill like a log and you could run and flap your arms. What do you think? xo.

Do it, Keri! The next time I try it I want to do it with more people. I think that would be a hoot! (don't pollute)
