rain, rain, go away

lettuce flower

Oh woe! Oh rue. I am stuvved ub wid a sore throad. When I was a girl and wasn't feeling well I'd say "I have dough in my veins". Everything sluggish as though my insides are bread kneaded and rising. I don't even really know what that means. It's just what it feels like. And I'm with my dear friend whom I haven't seen in a year and I wish I was bright sunshine o'er her but I am drizzle in a cloud. How wonderful these things don't matter one bit with those who love us most.

Oh Colleen, I am so sorry to see you are sick!! Hopefully it won't last long.
When you get back, let's go for some long walks together, k? (I think you know why)

Oh, I hope you didn't catch it from me! I wouldn't wish this cold on my worst enemy, if I had any.

Get better soon, Sunshine!

Is that a cabbage? Very pretty. "Say it with a Cabbage". Hmm, it doesn't really have the same ring to it though (say what with a cabbage?).

Hot lemon and honey. You get someone kind to go and squeeze one large lemon and mix the juice to hot (not boiling) water. Then the kind person adds a big dollop of honey and mixes it all up and serves it to you, tucked up in bed, in a lovely big mug.

My sweetness, do feel better soon, I am sending healthy vibes your way.

x

Thank you, friends. I am feeling much better. Unfortunately I am now at the snotty, hacking stage of things in which everyone wants to remain a considerable distance away from me. However, two kind someones made me tea and honey (unbeknownst to Captain Cat's directions) and all sorts of other beautiful concoctions that made me feel loved so all is on the way to well. ♡

These are beaaaaaaaaaaautiful. Can you eat these? They'd look good with greens. I've only seen the very dark magenta ones.

I actually don't know WHAT these flowers are. They just looked like big cabbages and so I named them such. I'm not sure if you can eat them or not but they would be really pretty in a salad, wouldn't they?
