The Pancake Chronicles
My name is Colleen.
I love taking my time and finding beauty and humour in things before they happen - as in seeds and salamanders.
"The sweetest thing in all my life has been the longing — to reach the Mountain, to find the place where all the beauty came from — my country, the place where I ought to have been born. Do you think it all meant nothing, all the longing? The longing for home? For indeed it now feels not like going, but like going back."
C.S. Lewis - Till We Have Faces: A Myth Retold
"Look, it's not in my nature to be mysterious. But I can't talk about it and I can't talk about why."
Rusty Ryan - Ocean's Twelve

Wow! You guys still have some serious snow there!
Warm, melt-all-the-snow-away weather should be there in about one month, would be my guess. (Let me know how accurate I am!)
Ick! Brr!
my goodness you deserve a spa day, i think!
wish i could send you to one:)
Yikes!!
I am cold for you.
scary.
Ya know, I don't envy you guys. By the way, it's sunny and hot here in Calgary today. Wish you were here :)
Hi Colleen, I have a question for you, regarding an article for Up Here magazine. Mind shooting me an email at myname@uphere.ca? Thanks, Jessa
This is a great photo, and as I've said before, I think a newspaper would love it. Or an April /Spring issue of a Canadian magazine. I love the wires, the car, the pole, the houses. Perfect. Perfect.
Wow, not even my super duper love of snow could make me want to be covered in that right now. Sorry. :)
Colleen, I went to the Up Here magazine site. Did you get in touch with the woman? Are they going to publish your words or pics?? I hope so!
Nan! That's so cool that you did that! I did get in touch with her and she had liked a comment I'd made last year about the premier of our territory and wondered if she could quote me in an article coming out in the July/August issue of Up Here. So I said "yes" and felt mildly thrilled! Thanks for asking, Nan. Really! :)
any questions?
