The Pancake Chronicles
My name is Colleen.
I love taking my time and finding beauty and humour in things before they happen - as in seeds and salamanders.
"The sweetest thing in all my life has been the longing — to reach the Mountain, to find the place where all the beauty came from — my country, the place where I ought to have been born. Do you think it all meant nothing, all the longing? The longing for home? For indeed it now feels not like going, but like going back."
C.S. Lewis - Till We Have Faces: A Myth Retold
"Look, it's not in my nature to be mysterious. But I can't talk about it and I can't talk about why."
Rusty Ryan - Ocean's Twelve

You have chronicled the passing seasons so beautifully, I have loved watching the progression from autumn to winter to deep winter and now to Sping gradually trying to break through. You have an incredible eye for pictures and each and every one is infused with your love for beauty and the natural world. I know you haven't written much here lately, but your pictures say it all and I love getting a glimpse of the world through your eyes. Big hug from this side of the world, where spring is well and truly here (although as I write there is a dust storm going on).

It's good to see that things are thawing out up there.
hmm...the words 'arctic spring' - sounds catchy and profound.
any questions?
