So the work continues.
How on
earth did he figure
this configuration out?
So complex.
I
love how this looks!
It really shows off the incredible attention to detail and precision that's needed.
Isn't it cool?
Methinks of mollusks and seashells.
Here he's figuring out how to make that last piece pop in perfectly.
Yep, I'm about as deeply impressed as they get. He just finished fiberglassing the exterior a couple of days ago but unfortunately I missed getting photos of that process. Even though this looks close to completed he has even more to do to the boat, now that the wood is in place, than he has done so far. It's a very time-consuming process and yet he's already talking about canoe #2 as well as making a two-person kayak.

WOW, that's very impressive indeed!
dumbfounded is right! Holy cow! So, when is the projected date for completion?
Very, very cool. That man is so amazing.
That canoe is a thing of beauty. A work of art really. Your hubby is very talented!
He's a master craftsman! Is this for himself or to sell?

Unbelievable! That is a great looking hull, well done indeed.

Thanks, all! I'll pass along your warm words to Mark. The canoe is for us and is not for sale, at least at this juncture. Mark's hoping we'll be able to put it in the water before the summer is through. Sweet! I'm really looking forward to that.
...like before the end of July!?!?! Please say yes.
ummmmm ... HELLO!
Absolutely Amazing!
Way to go Mark!!!
I am in complete awe.
*A*M*A*Z*I*N*G*!!
I'm thinking one could never have too many clamps :)
Wow, Kori. You nailed it. That is actually something Mark says often. It goes a little like this:
Q. How many clamps does a carpenter need?
A. One more.
:)
This is so amazing! I seriously have always wanted a wooden canoe...
WOW!!!
That truly amazes me. I love the half done photos. That is some serious skill that boy has!
