heart so large

I'm presently listening to Igor Stravinsky's 1919 Firebird Suite and every time I do it fills up my heart so large and full that it nearly feels it will break open with hope and joy. How does a piece of music do that?

I don't know the answer but I was listening to Elgar's Nimrod on Sunday and tears were trickling down my cheeks.

Whilst I adore bands like the Velvet Underground, Bob Dylan etc etc, nothing moves my soul quite like classical music can, some of which is simply achingly beautiful. And somehow it often complements the natural world too.

Love these past few posts by the way. Oh and congratulations on your new shop! Well done you Colleen, fantastic stuff. Will take a look now.

Huge big hug,
xx

Hello, Liz! It's nice to meet you. :) I tried listening to Elgar's Nimrod but will have to try again later. I guess we've extended our internet use this month and got knocked down to dial-up. So painstakingly long to load anything! Anyhoo ... it certainly isn't every song that can do that to one's heart but when it does there is nothing better.

Thank you, dear Cat. I'm feeling a little awkward about the whole "Photo Shoppe" thing but it can't hurt to try I suppose. Although trying feels like it hurts. Sigh! xo
