The beaches were very beautiful, warm and often windy as we discovered our first evening in Mexico. We arrived on Saturday night and once we had eaten and settled a little into our rooms we headed down to the sea. It was so surreal that first night. Was I really just wearing a scarf this morning? Were socks actually necessary? Toes buried in cool sand and watery air on my skin ... the snow - did it ever exist? The sun sets in about twenty minutes in Cancún so when I wanted dusky photos I had to quick like a bunny hop around in all directions clicking away like crunching on carrots.

You have such a great eye for taking unique and beautiful photographs.
My name is Colleen. I love taking my time and finding beauty and humour in things before they happen - as in seeds and salamanders.
"The sweetest thing in all my life has been the longing — to reach the Mountain, to find the place where all the beauty came from — my country, the place where I ought to have been born. Do you think it all meant nothing, all the longing? The longing for home? For indeed it now feels not like going, but like going back."

"Look, it's not in my nature to be mysterious. But I can't talk about it and I can't talk about why."
