The Pancake Chronicles
My name is Colleen.
I love taking my time and finding beauty and humour in things before they happen - as in seeds and salamanders.
"The sweetest thing in all my life has been the longing — to reach the Mountain, to find the place where all the beauty came from — my country, the place where I ought to have been born. Do you think it all meant nothing, all the longing? The longing for home? For indeed it now feels not like going, but like going back."
C.S. Lewis - Till We Have Faces: A Myth Retold
"Look, it's not in my nature to be mysterious. But I can't talk about it and I can't talk about why."
Rusty Ryan - Ocean's Twelve

This looks like a lake on the way up to Whistler that we have hiked along. Beautiful.
So pretty!
that reminds me of a lake I used to visit as a child called Cultis (or something sounding like that) lake... it was beautiful :)
So beautiful and serene.
Beautious! So tranquil and naturey! (Not sure if that's a word but it works. :))
reminds me of my favorite hike that we love to do with the kids. but i've never seen the water so bright! looks like the perfect day for a beautiful walk.
What an amazing picture. Where is this lake, with water so bright and blue?
Hi Satu! It's called Sasamat Lake and it's in the Vancouver area of British Columbia. How's Finland doing? :)
Yet another destination to be added on my list of places I must visit. Our lakes look like muddy ponds compared to this :)
Finland's doing just great, thanks for asking! Spring is coming, slowly, but it's coming! There's only one snowy patch in my yard today, yay! :)
any questions?
