The Pancake Chronicles
My name is Colleen.
I love taking my time and finding beauty and humour in things before they happen - as in seeds and salamanders.
"The sweetest thing in all my life has been the longing — to reach the Mountain, to find the place where all the beauty came from — my country, the place where I ought to have been born. Do you think it all meant nothing, all the longing? The longing for home? For indeed it now feels not like going, but like going back."
C.S. Lewis - Till We Have Faces: A Myth Retold
"Look, it's not in my nature to be mysterious. But I can't talk about it and I can't talk about why."

Great pictures. They remind me too much of my daily chores though. *shudder*
I love your photos :) Btw, what's this going to be when it's all grown up?
Thanks, you two! And hello Lisa. :) It shall be corn when it's all grown up and of course I should mention that it is my friend's field and that I had to e-mail her to ask her what it is was after you asked me because I had no idea! Ha!
Not quite as tall as ours here in the Midwest. It's usually "as high as an elephant's eye by the Fourth of July." :)
Just looked through all your recent photos. GORGEOUS!
Thank you, Les! These photos were taken almost three weeks ago so perhaps they are close to being "as high as a hippo's eye by the First of July". Okay I just made that up. I was trying to think of the Canadian equivalent in something smaller than an elephant but still rather big. :)
any questions?
