The Pancake Chronicles
My name is Colleen.
I love taking my time and finding beauty and humour in things before they happen - as in seeds and salamanders.
"The sweetest thing in all my life has been the longing — to reach the Mountain, to find the place where all the beauty came from — my country, the place where I ought to have been born. Do you think it all meant nothing, all the longing? The longing for home? For indeed it now feels not like going, but like going back."
C.S. Lewis - Till We Have Faces: A Myth Retold
"Look, it's not in my nature to be mysterious. But I can't talk about it and I can't talk about why."
Rusty Ryan - Ocean's Twelve

Gorgeous pictures, Colleen! I'm happy that you found my blog because now I get to peruse YOURS! So fun. Adding it to my list right now. :)
Oh me please!! Ooo! Ooo! Here! Me please! I want to go too!!!
Love Kel!
I can almost hear the ripple of the water against the boat, and the soft clanking of the oars. Tranquility captured beautifully. Is that your dog?
xx
It was a beeeeeautiful day. You couldn't have ordered a better. I'm glad I went canoeing that day because the following day when only Mark went out, it rained him and his friend into a soggy mess.
Richie, thank you!
Erin, welcome! It is fun, isn't it! I'm so glad we've met. :) Your great and practical house ideas made my brain swirl with possibilities. And I LOVE that!
Kelli-bean! Yes, you may! :)
CC! Hello and hello! 'Tis not my dog "'tis a remorseless eating machine" (ack, Simpsons quotes arise from me unbidded). And actually he (Jake) is not a remorseless eating machine because he's sweet and getting old and having tummy troubles. Jake is the dog of a good friend of ours and that is who is in the canoe with him. I was taking the photo from our canoe. Such a peaceful day! ♡
Gorgeous photos!! I love the reflection on the water. Such a serene scene.
any questions?
