The Pancake Chronicles
My name is Colleen.
I love taking my time and finding beauty and humour in things before they happen - as in seeds and salamanders.
"The sweetest thing in all my life has been the longing — to reach the Mountain, to find the place where all the beauty came from — my country, the place where I ought to have been born. Do you think it all meant nothing, all the longing? The longing for home? For indeed it now feels not like going, but like going back."
C.S. Lewis - Till We Have Faces: A Myth Retold
"Look, it's not in my nature to be mysterious. But I can't talk about it and I can't talk about why."
Rusty Ryan - Ocean's Twelve

Ha! Too bad snowmen don't survive the summer -- this happy guy would give any scarecrow a run for his money.
I like recognizing the places in your pictures. Makes me a little giddy actually. Makes me feel like 'hey, I've been to that beautiful place that Colleen is capturing even more beautifully than I could remember.' A little gift. Thank you.
Love it! So cute--that would make a great card, actually, C! All three, I think.
Ahhhh! Love this post! Gorgeous photos, as usual.
LOVE it! He's so happy in all the sunshine...me too!

Hands down, THE best snowperson I've ever seen. I agree that it would make a nice Christmas card for this coming year. Perfect.
Speaking of blueberries, I made those cranberry/blueberry scones last week.
My husband has now left me and attached himself (or his stomach) the scones. He loves them that much.
Ahh, thank you everyone! My little niece and mom-in-law built this guy and I agree with you - he is the best!
Also, thank you, Tiffany. :) Too bad you couldn't be here. We're hoping to go to Portland, Oregon in the next couple of days if we can ever make it out of here what with dumps of snow and truck troubles! Photos of rain will be a welcome change for me from all the blue and white posts of late.
Rachel - HA! As long you remain his scone pusher he'll come crawling back for more. :) I didn't realize how deadly they were (my hub isn't a baking kind of guy). I should be more careful, just willy nilly hucking addictive, marriage-wrecking recipes out there!
Hands down the best snowman EVER! He has a great face and I love the hat. Perfection!
That snowman is absolutely delightful.
Heart Heart Heart!!!
