stood still and let the loveliness of the evening flow through me like music ... and thought of many, many beautiful things - of wild free brooks running through starlit April fields - of rippled grey-satin seas - of the grace of an elm against the moonlight - of roots stirring and thrilling in the earth - owls laughing in darkness - a curl of foam on a long sandy sore - a young moon setting over a dark hill - the grey of gulf storms.”
That sent shivers down my spine it's so lovely. What exquisite writing, a grounding earthy paragraph to remind me of the beauty of the world when I needed it most. Again Colleen, thank you for being here and for being who you are and for sharing your beautiful soul with us.
My name is Colleen. I love taking my time and finding beauty and humour in things before they happen - as in seeds and salamanders.
"The sweetest thing in all my life has been the longing — to reach the Mountain, to find the place where all the beauty came from — my country, the place where I ought to have been born. Do you think it all meant nothing, all the longing? The longing for home? For indeed it now feels not like going, but like going back."
C.S. Lewis - Till We Have Faces: A Myth Retold
"Look, it's not in my nature to be mysterious. But I can't talk about it and I can't talk about why."
