here and now
road, a truck, and a canoe have made up the bulk of our weekends of late. As I write this we've just arrived in Portland, Oregon looking forward to catching up with family and, if possible, paddling a puddle or two. We'll swing through Powell's Books (a slow, thorough, exhaustive swing, I hope) and peruse shark-like through shops and cafes. Last weekend we were in the Okanagan and Boundary Area. The canoe found a lake and took us for a spin. Mark and I spent time with my parents and met old friends. It's been sweet pie and ice cream being with the ones we love and we feel grateful for the time to do it. Podcasts over the tarmac, trees can't catch up, left behind in old radio, further, farther, faster, wondering where we're going and when oh whenny when when will we get there. I'd so like to know.

That view looks very familiar. Just coming out of Osoyoos, oui?
