The Pancake Chronicles
My name is Colleen.
I love taking my time and finding beauty and humour in things before they happen - as in seeds and salamanders.
"The sweetest thing in all my life has been the longing — to reach the Mountain, to find the place where all the beauty came from — my country, the place where I ought to have been born. Do you think it all meant nothing, all the longing? The longing for home? For indeed it now feels not like going, but like going back."
C.S. Lewis - Till We Have Faces: A Myth Retold
"Look, it's not in my nature to be mysterious. But I can't talk about it and I can't talk about why."
Rusty Ryan - Ocean's Twelve

You're going back to the 'Knife? Wow!
Mark is so incredibly blessed to have you in his life to support him every step of the way. You are a gem!
Selfishly, I am sad because I will sooooo miss having you around. Love to you my dearest friend!
I'm all for it!! How I've missed your Yellowknife postings. I remember once you wrote something about there just not being enough interesting weather or pictures in your current home. :<)
Wow! I was just thinking of you guys not long ago and wondering how things are going. Rachel loves to blow bubbles outside, so when we are out blowing bubbles I often think of the time you and I went up to Pilot's Monument. I'm sure all your friends in Yellowknife are THRILLED that you are coming back! Any chance you will be coming through Edmonton, we would love to visit.

Wow!! You are a good woman :)
A good woman indeed!
I'm so coming to see you in Yellowknife. Bring it ON!! Congrats to you both for being fabulous and brave.
Exciting news!!
BTW, these photos look very familiar to me. Cape Kiwanda at Pacific City, Oregon, perhaps? Isn't that a fun dune to hike?! And the restaurant (and beer) at the base are quite good, too. Oh, I miss Oregon!
any questions?
