faces in places!
Faces in Places. Here was an entire community of people who see faces in things as I do. I AM NOT ALONE. No indeed. Visiting this website is like going to a family reunion and seeing hundreds of kooky relatives I've never met before with them all bearing a startling resemblance to me. Unnerving and yet ... strangely comforting. Around the time I began to visit the site a call was put out by Jody Smith, the author of the blog, to submit any face photos we had that he might compile them into a book. Thousands of photos poured in and I am proud to say that two of my faces made it in! This guy:
HOORAY! I was vouching for Smoothie most of all. He got a whole page to himself, too and I couldn't be more stoked. Wait. I CAN be more stoked. My name is even in the back as one of the contributors. And they spelled it right. Cool. The whole book is pretty fun and some of the photos are just brilliant (ie. the front cover). I have to say that this has only encouraged me to up my game in looking for "faces in places" so that could be good news or bad news depending on ... depending on a variety of dependable and undependable views and opinions you may hold.
Faces in Places is for sale on Amazon in Europe and will be available in North America in February 2011. I am not making a dime on this book so when I say go out and buy this book I'm just saying it because Smoothie hit the big times (which rocks) and because Jody did such a great job with the whole shebang that you should really check it out. Whippeee! The end! Over and out!
